A Scandinavian inspired timber house on Bowen Island for a client with minimalist, yet warm aesthetic. The house straddles a natural swale in a grassland site, surrounded by forest and views to the rear of the house. A simple and site appropriate palette of naturally weathered Douglas Fir board and batten, metal roof and exposed concrete define the exterior and are similarly carried throughout the interior.
