An efficiently organized 3500 square foot modern ski house in Whistler, British Columbia. A reverse floor plan puts the bedrooms on the ground floor, which allows the upper living space to take advantage of the views to Sproat and Rainbow mountain. Extensive use of structural steel allows the expressive cantilever roof to shelter the outside living space, while maintaining a simple wrap of high performance curtain wall glazing to ensure the interior is light filled and thermally confortable in all seasons. The enclosed courtyard is defined by the triangular black glass tiled pool and cabana which doubles as a guest room and yoga studio.
