A high performance, carbon neutral, pre-fabricated concrete rental project in lower river plain of Squamish. This project is currently in rezoning and is looking to add valuable rental housing stock to the market. Ground level parking and ample storage lockers for each 1 bedroom loft unit allow the floor plans to be more creative in their spatial distribution. The floor plans are entirely open, with a central millwork cube which houses kitchen, bathroom, laundry and storage, thus allowing the tenants to furnish and live more flexibly and affordably in an unadorned architectural interior. A colourful play of painted cement panels clad the exterior in an asymmetrical checkerboard pattern, taking hue references from the railway ties, rails and CN logos which dominate the history of this flat low lying neighbourhood.
