A unique ADU build which will act as a recreational cabin for a Squamish local who moved away. This build is located in a densely forested site, adjacent to Mashiter creek and overlooking views to Howe Sound and west to the tantalus range. A cabin aesthetic and attitude towards no fuss interiors, durable materials and approachable social space define the design rationale. Priority investment was placed in the high performance aluminum glazing so the building will operate efficiently in the winter and open up in the summer seasons.
