A major renovation of an owner built mid-century post and beam house in North Vancouver. The house already had great proportions, generous glazing and light but lacked practical updates needed for a modern and growing family. All aspects of the house were stripped down to the studs and re-worked to provide a durable, light filled and functional house. White oak, formica facade plywood, white-washed fir and black paint made up the minimal but cozy material palette.
