hunterOFFICE’s first partnership in a design-build relationship with Elevation Collective in Squamish BC. We wanted to test the viability of a high efficiency, pre-fabricated urban infill typology in an otherwise suburban context of Squamish’s revitalizing downtown peninsula. The project utilizes pre-fabricated, high R-value wood frame walls, locally sourced Douglas fir flooring, large lift and slide doors and sliding metal privacy screens to add character to a gritty back alley frontage. A uniquely flexible ‘6 room’ configured walk up units encourages live-work uses and flexibility.
